Chris Coull’s first foray into the recording world came on the back of his wife having a cancer scare. A decade and more on, fortunately all is well, but back in 2011 this was a fund raiser which, in conjunction with several gala dinner concerts raised over £25,000 for Cancer research UK. The album is an eclectic mix of intimate small group jazz, vocal and instrumental features, large scale songs with strings and rhythm and blues. Featuring compositions from Michael Pigneguy, arrangements from Chris Coull and orchestrations from The Doha String Quartet led by internationally acclaimed violinist Dmitri Torchinski.
