A stellar jazz sextet performs a musical tribute jazz composer and pianist Abdullah Ibrahim following a sell out premiere at this year’s Brighton Fringe. Experience a celebration of this unique South African pianists unique style and musical voice with performances of his classic standards, plus interpretations and new arrangements his music. The band is fronted by Mark Bassey (trombone) and Alex Bondonno (saxophone) alongside Chris Coull (trumpet) who will lead the audience through the musical story of Ibrahim’s life from the streets of Cape Town to his role in the fight against apartheid, and journey to becoming a world renowned jazz musician.
